I wanted to modernize my old Citroën car in order to play music from a smartphone. It doesn't even have a 3.5mm AUX input, so I used an FM-transmitter, but it was sounding very bad often being interrupted by other cars or local radio stations. I also wanted to keep steering wheel buttons functional, which is not the case with a universal Bluetooth receiver and cheapers models.
So after some research in the area I found that similar units are mostly not supporting steering wheel buttons, sounding noisy or having other issues. But Vocomo seemed to be a quite dedicated company, well knowing their stuff very good.
I must say that despite the high price, Vocomo unit was worth every penny invested in it!
Unlike similar units, this one doesn't provide MP3 playback from USB storage, aux input and so on. It does one thing — Bluetooth music streaming — and it does it right. After all, who needs MP3 player nowaday, when people play music from smartphones?
The installation manul received warm compliments from official dealer service, which installed the unit in a couple of hours thanks to very clear and detailed instructions.
The connection is lightning fast: the next second after starting the car I hear music playing in car's loudspeakers.
Also the sound is very clear and pure. I couldn't hear any noise despite playing music quite loud. I really enjoy the sound quality and sometimes take a ride just to enjoy the music (partly due to a great sound system in the car).
Steering wheel buttons work flawlessly allowing to switch the tracks back and forth.
