Google Nest as a smart hi-fi system

By pairing a Google Nest Mini, you can turn your VOCOMO AMP-1 blue system into a hi-fi system with very particular convenience:
  • High-end HiFi sound via your AMP-1 blue system
  • Voice-controlled streaming of Internet radio, Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Deezer, ...
  • Chromecast WiFi streaming incl. multiroom function
You can use any Google Home or Nest speaker, but at least one Google Nest Mini (2nd generation). The older Google Home Mini (1st generation) has a weak processor and does not stream music properly via Bluetooth.
You can also use an Amazon Echo using the same principle.

Here we will show you how to pair your Google Nest Mini with the AMP-1 blue:
 
 
  • Start the Google Home app
  • Select a Google Nest device
  • Settings (gear)
  • "Audio"
  • "Standard speakers for music"
  • Start AMP-1 blue in pairing mode
  • "Pair Bluetooth Speakers"
  • Search starts ...
  • Select "VOCOMO AMP-1 blue"
  • Finished!
​The Google Nest Mini now plays all media via the AMP-1 blue loudspeakers, voice announcements continue to be played through its built-in loudspeaker.

Due to the extremely low standby power consumption, you can leave the AMP-1 blue switched on permanently and control your music only by voice.
 


Call your contacts with the voice control feature of your Smartphone

Automatically direct phone calls of your iPhone to your Bluetooth handsfree kit

If a call is accepted on the iPhone, the call may need to be manually redirected to the Bluetooth handsfree kit by the audio button and a device list shown at the bottom of the screen. You can avoid this additional switching by selecting "Bluetooth Headset" as the default device in

   "Settings / General / Accessibility / Call Audio Routing".
 


Google Assistant: Enable voice recognition through Bluetooth microphone

In order to optimize the voice recognition in Google Assistant and to avoid acoustic feedback tones, activate in Google Assistant under

    "Settings / Phone / Other hands-free settings" the checkbox for
    "Allow request with device locked: For Bluetooth devices"

and under

    "Settings / Phone / Other voice settings" the checkbox for
    "Bluetooth headset: Records audio through Bluetooth headset if available".
